We recently came back from WDW.
For the week of our stay, my mom, my sister and my niece were also in Florida. During the time they were there, I took about 300 digital pictures ( give or take a few), including a lot I took on a solo day to Islands of Adventure. (DD would not be able to ride anything there and someone had to stay with her, so DH stayed back and I went alone).

That digital card already had some pictures on it, so with those pictures, card # 1 was almost full. I had downloaded the pictures that were already on the card to my computer, but not the Florida pictures.

I changed the card in the camera to another one I had along and put card #1 in a card holder in a small drawstring bag with the extra battery that I kept in my purse. The only time the bag was ever out of my purse was when I was switching batteries or switching purses.

I never did get around to downloading the pictures from card 1 or card 2, even though I had a computer with me.:confused3

Fast forward to last week. I downloaded the pictures from card 2 to the computer. When I went to get the little drawstring bag, it is nowhere to be found. Searched all purses, all bags - nothing.
I'm quite sure I know what happened to it - our last night I charged the battery and left the bag on a bench in our room. It probably slipped down behind the bench and I didn't see it when packing. We called lost and found for OKW, but they have not found it. :sad1:

So, if you go to the trouble of bring a computer along, take the time each night to download pictures from your digital camera. :thumbsup2

That's always my fear so I put them in the change part of my wallet. Keep calling and try calling the lost and found for the parks too. Hope you get it back!!!

Sorry to hear that sue but I have he to top it my mother was looking at pics on her camera on the plane and when we got home we could not find it we figured out we left it in the seat pocket. Lost the camera and a memory card thankfully most was uploaded to Kodak but the ones wasn't we lost.

Thanks for the PSA! I learned that one the hard way as well. The only pictures we have from our last trip are our Photopass pictures because our camera fell out of my bag on DME and it was never turned in. Thank goodness this wasn't a once in a lifetime trip but it's still disappointing and very sad.
