Cat's planning journal 5-27-07 (mostly pics) updated, only 6 days to go!

I had yet another trial hairdo this weekend. I cant seem to make up my mind what I want. I have very fine and thin hair so I am using clips with hair extensions. I like this hairdo, but I would want the hair to be up higher so that it comes up to the tiara. My sister noticed that if you looked for it you could see the hair clips. It might be becuase the girl that did my hair did not take her time. She was really confused as to why I would want her to do my trial but not my wedding. She told me I could fly her down but I declined. So needless to say she did not take her time doing my hair.

I am wondering if I should get real extensions. Has anyone or anyone you know gotten extensions for their wedding? How did it work out?

I have the pictures of my trial hair by beaute speciale on my work computer. I will attach those next week and you can let me know what you think. Thanks for your help.

How are the hair decisions going? Did you decide on a style?

I understand- hair was one of the most important things to me. I love your posted pics! One of my driends had hair extensions put in for her wedding. It was really expensive, but looked amazing!

I used Beaute Speciale for our entire bridal party and they did a good job.

Oh, I love your hair!! It looks great. And if you don't mind, where did you find your robes?

Thanks for posting your journal- I'm addicted to these things!!:goodvibes

I love your hair trial with the extensions - it's great the way they hang loose instead of being all tucked up into a bun like you see a lot. Is there a way to camoflauge the places where the extensions are attached with little clips or hair jewels? I bet it would be cute!

Wednesday was the deadline for our response cards and we did not get back 29! I can understand not returning the cards if you are not planning on attending, but several of the people are supposed to be coming. I did some phone calls to my parents and got some information, but what do I do if people show up that did not RSVP. UGH! Its so easy to just mark the card and stick it in the mail.

Our final budget is due the begining of April so we are working on that as soon as we get the final count. I did not realize children under three are free and that you can alter the number of different things on the contract so I will be working on that.

Your hair looks so good in the photos youve posted.. i hope you will post the others you had done. GL with your decision!!

I love that you posted the m&m's. we have been thinking of doing those as a favor for our at home reception and I've been wondering about what those look like "in person". so cute!! :goodvibes and I love the way that your hair turned out! I have my trial run this up coming friday and then am taking pictures down there with me... yours looks so pretty!!!!

I ordered the robes from www.americanbridal.com. That was the cheapest I could find them.

I also ordered candy molds to make lollipops for the guests bags. Of course I must say that I will be attempting to make the candy for the first time ever, so who knows how it will turn out. If they do turn out I will be sure to post pics. If not you know what happened.:rotfl:

I bought the molds at www.candymoldcentral.com and I plan on getting the mickey and minnie ones from ebay.

Yet another purchase was our guest book. Well actually our guests are signing a picture mat as the guest book, but we are also having a wishing well where people can give us advice. I bought cards and a book from www.now-and-forever.com. My original idea was to have a vase of branches for the cards to hang from, but we went the easy route and are just having a bowl for the cards.
wishcards.jpg

I also just had my fitting and all I have to get done is a hem and a bustle. Oh, and cups for my tatas as the lady said. I was afraid I would have to get much more done.

On a future note, my bridal shower is on Sunday!!! My parents are flying into town on Thursday and I am excited to have them staying with me. I am also ready to end all the secrets and whispering my bridesmaids are doing. Im so jealous that Im not in the loop. I will have to post pictures of what they have been up to next week.

Just to let you know. Making the candy is simple. A hint, tap the molds that are full of the candy on the counter, to take the bubbles out. Everything looks great.

princessdisneybelle,

I actually got the idea of candy from you, so thanks! :goodvibes

How do you plan on getting the chocolate there without melting? It will be in the 80s or 90s when I am there.

Wow thank you. We are actually driving and putting the candy in coolers. When we get to Shades of Green they are putting it in a refridgerator for us. Maybe talk to your WP and see what the recommend?

I love your planning journal. I especially love the hoodie, I wonder if they would deliver to the UK? I'm gonna go search for that now.
BTW, I loved yur hair, I'm not one for having a tight bun but I love the loose curls, very romantic!!

You and I totally have the same taste it seems. Wish I could do my shopping with you brides here on the DIS. Congratulations on your engagement, wedding planning, and upcoming wedding.

Thanks for sharing your planning.

Jenny

Just wanted to say Hi and good luck! We are only about a month apart in date and it is getting sooo close!

That hairstyle looks great on you, and I can't see the extensions!

Thank you for all of your comments and thoughts. The big day really is getting close.

I just printed the information for the through the mail marraige license. On sticker paper! Augh!!!:headache: The idea of saving a trip to the court house sounds worth it to me.

I did purchase some more things but I will have to post them after my parents leave. Right now I should be cleaning for their arrival, but I am addicted to this board!:goodvibes

I just had to post pictures of the outfits I got for the flower girls and ringbearer. They were 20% off at the Disney store. I am taking my flower girls to the bippity boppity boutique the day before the wedding for a princess makeover.

I also got the kids these spinning lights. I figured they were probably cheaper to get here then at Disney.

Those fairy dresses are adorable!

My shower was this weekend and it was wonderful. I miss everyone that stayed with me (my parents and my sister), but I am happy to say that my DF quit his job that made him travel 3 weeks out of the month. He is now working a local job and has the same hours as me!:yay:

Here are some pictures from the shower. My bridesmaids did a mad hatter tea party theme.

This is the picture frame they made me with the invitation.

Here are the tea cups and personalized tea bags they used as favors. They also made themed baskets for the bingo prizes (icecream, pasta, wine) and chocolate covered pretels for another game prize.

Here are the girls with their tees and they made me a shirt too!

I also ordered advil, hand sanitizer, and tissue from minimus.com for the room bags. We found the princess gummies half off at Giant as well.

We are in the process of getting the marriage license, making the programs, and picking up DF's ring.
