Cats and shoes?

Why do cats love shoes so much? .My tigger has spent the past 10 minutes rolling around in EDs shoes and socks....He sticks his head all the way in it and flops around.... What is with the shoe obsession?

Not sure mine has the same kind of problem she will fall alseep on the shoes or place it between her two front paws when laying down. With socks she will get them out of the dirty clothes pile at night(upstairs) and we will come down in the morning and it will be laying out in the middle of the floor and she will hold it carry it roll around with it. Also her 2 other favorite thins to do is play with those stupid things you peel of the milk containers those tab things(free) she will play with that but bring her a cat toy back from WDW($6.00) she wont even touch it. Also she has a foot fetish she will allow you to rub your feet on her for a good long while. (I am sitting on the chair she will come up rub against my feet lay down in front of my feet and want petted with my feet. Kinda of gross.)

My cat spends several minutes rubbing his head against my shoes when I take them off after I get home from work, and recently he's developed some sort of fixation with licking the bottoms of them. He only does that with my running shoes, though.

It's the stank. They love the peeyew of stanky feet! Stoooopid cats!

Of course after they roll around in the odor a while they wanna come to you for kisses and/or headbonks, am I right?

I wish I had a camera when my cat fell asleep with her head in my crocs. I don't mean head on them but in them. I was happy they had holes in them so she wouldn't suffocate.

My cats do the same thing! Maybe they are brought in by the outside smell who knows.

My cat Honey does that, but only with my DH's shoes. I guess his feet really stink!

My kitten does that too. The kids absolutely hate it.........I have no idea why they feel so strongly about the cat playing with their shoes. He often moves them around in the night.

He also loves to play with marbles, and will often pick them up in his mouth and drop them into shoes..............

My DSIL had a cat who did this.

She also had a cat who liked to lay on envelopes. If they were doing their bills, and threw stuff on the floor to sort it and so on, the cat would be laying all over it.

My cat's love shoes too, and the milk top thingies, we moved a bookshelf a while back and found about 10 of those things.

My cat also does this! The dirties the shoe, the more she loves it

Of our two cats, one loves my shoes, but the other is indifferent. I used to have some lined slippers that really held the foot odor and he really liked those.
