Catholics...kids and communion

Do your kids like the taste of the bread? My DD hates it and makes a really ugly face when she puts it in her mouth, and all the way back to our seat. We have to bring a little bottle of water in my purse for her to wash it down with! It's kind of embarressing, but funny in a way.

Also, do your kids drink the wine? Not here.

We don't do the wine either.
Cute story- One of my kids, before they could go to communion, asked me what body crust tasted like. I was like WHAT? Turned out they heard "Body of Christ" and it sounded like body crust.

My DD has no opinion really that I know of.

No, she does not take the precious blood yet. I'll leave that up to her if she wants to maybe once she's 13 or so, she can decide. Haven't decided. I, myself, don't take it either.

My friends child likes to say, "Pizza be with you" instead of "Peace be with you" when shaking hands.

DD's are too young for communion, but I think it tastes good.
