Catholic Mass on Sunday?

I wasn't sure where to post this but since I am trying to come up with strategy for Sunday I thought this might be good. I know in the past when visiting Disney they held a Catholic Mass at the Polynesian. Does anyone know the time? Is there any other place on property? How about the Shrine close to Disney. I remember going there as a kid. Beautiful big Shrine. Not sure of the name. Anyone know the mass times there?

try www.maryqueenoftheuniverse.org That is probably the shrine you are refering to. I don't believe they hold Catholic services any longer at the Polynesian. If that link doesn't work, go to masstimes.org I know they have a 6:00 on Saturday because we are planning on getting into Orlando about 4:00 to give us time to check-in, unpack and go to mass. Thank you so much for your quick response. That is the shrine I was talking about. On the site it gives the reason for no longer being able to hold services as Disney. Quite interesting and sad actually... the preist shortage is growing. Anyways, thanks for your help. It will be nice to go back to the shrine and show it to my children as this is one of my memories from my first trip to Disney.

Like the other posters said. I don't think they do the Sunday Mass at the Poly anymore. I used to love that when I was a kid. I never really "liked" church as a kid but I thought it was so cool that it was outside at Luau Cove.

Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine is the one, I think, that you're thinking of. I remember as a child at mass at the poly we used to make donations to the construction of that shrine. I just saw it this year for the first time and took a picture to send to my dad and said "see what your contributions built" what a beautiful place!

I seem to remember there being a Catholic mass on Easter at the Contemporary last year, but I'm not sure... does anyone else remember?

We attended Easter Mass at the Contemporary last year and it was wonderful. When I just spoke with someone at WDWDine about Easter brunch ressies and asked if she knew what time Mass would be, she read something to me that says demand has exceeded accomodations and we should,therefore, contact the Shrine for Mass times there -- apparently it is much better suited for the large number of people who want to attend Mass.

Has anyone else heard something different?

Oh geez, I hope they bring it back on WDW property this year.
