I'll try to keep this short.....

My DH and I are checking into a GV at OKW on Wednesday, with his family, consisting of DM, DF, DS, DBiL, and two nephews, 4 and 22 months. This will be the first trip for our younger nephew. We made the reservations/plans last spring.

Over Labor Day last year, my DSIL was diagnosed with lung cancer. She is 39, non-smoker, no symptoms, collegiate swimmer. Long story short, we were devastated.

Given her age and overall health, they opted for a very agressive course of treatments, consisting of radiation and chemo.

Because of the location of the tumor, the radiation was simulataneously "blasting" her esophogus, as well, and nearly destroyed it. As a result, she was unable to swallow (even her own saliva!) for several months. She had a feeding (PEG) tube inserted around the 2nd week of November.

As her esophogus began to heal, she slowly began swallowing and eating again. ...But this didn't happen for several weeks.

Consequently.... she missed Thanksgiving dinner. We (jokingly) told her that "we would fix you Thanksgiving dinner whenever you can eat again - even if it's not 'til March."

Well, her oncologist - pleased with her weight gain - ordered the removal of the feeding tube this past week.

So.... you guessed it... I need to have Thanksgiving dinner at OKW on Wednesday night. :) ....And I don't mind, a bit!

...But - the logistics are proving to be a little challenging.

I need some suggestions on where I can purchase some "Thanksgiving-like" foods.

I considered Boston Market - but I don't think they have ham. I thought about Cracker Barrel... but they don't have turkey. I know that Publix fixes turkey, etc, out of their deli - but I think they only do that seasonally.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for the Disney area? We're just needing food for 6 adults. The older boy is autistic and is on a very strict diet - so they cook all of his food, and the younger child just eats the same stuff....

TIA - I appreciate any suggestions you may have....

Call this Publix and talk to the Deli. Their website has an event planning section that includes turkey and ham. Never hurts to ask.
