I know the category 6 has the pullout couch, but does it also have a top bunk? Family of four would appreciate knowing.

Thanks

Some do and some don't. The best way to find ones that do sleep 4 is to fill out the information on the DCL website, They will only bring up staterooms that will hold the number of people in your party.

They won't book your family of 4 into a room with less than that for sleeping accomodations. The sofa is not really a "pull out" as it sleeps only one person. It sort of flips over and the twin mattress is right there.. In a cat 6 you will also have the bunk bed above it.

So if the room sleeps four than it automatically has a pullout bed from couch and an overhead bunk?

Thanks,

We've booked a category 6 for our family of 4 and I understand that there is a couch and a bunk. I'm a bit nervous about my kids sleeping in a bunk, but my eldest (7 at the time of cruising) is really looking forward to it.

Every cabin that sleeps 4 (excluding suites) has a pull down bunk and the flip couch. Cabins that sleep 3 do not have the bunk.

They will not book a family of 4 into a cabin for 3 EVEN IF one of the 4 is a baby in a crib. If you book a family of 4, you get a cabin with a bunk.

The bunk has a railing so no worries (well, as much as a mother can't worry). My DD8 can't wait to sleep in it too.

DD slept in it at 5 and at 6 without any problems. I know there is will always be a worry but she loved it and can't wait to go back again this year and sleep on the top bunk again!!! :thumbsup2

My DD 3 slept on the bottom(couch that makes a bed) and my 9 year old slept on the bunk that came out of the ceiling. We were able to get bumper railings put in our room every nite for my 3 year old.

Here are some more pics of the flip couch (as stated it does not pull out like a traditional sofa bed, but flips so it takes up no more room than the sofa).

I slept on this for the 7 day cruise and it was fine for me. The room steward flip back to a sofa during the day so there is still seating when not sleeping.
