Can anyone give me details as to how the category 3 seating is for this dinner show? This was all I could get for our upcoming January trip. Also did you enjoy the show? Thanks in advance!:)

It was Cat 3 we were seated in early this year at the luau.
We had seen the show before and were there mainly as an evening out with friends and for the food. (We even have a repeat planned for next month, again cat 3.)
I recall it being called the Cinderella section. :confused3 I have no idea why it was called that as a princess would not be seated where we were.
If you are wanting photos or to film, you probably will be disappointed.
Our line of vision was not the greatest, and partly because we had a pole near us. Although again we were not there to watch the show like a hawk.
The seats were not bad. But there were a lot of guests seated in front of us.
We did not mind the spot. But I can see where some would be disappointed.
The plus side is it started to rain hard late during the show accompanied by a strong wind. We were very sheltered from that.

Our Cat 3 was directly behind a pole. I would have rather paid the extra for a better seat, but it wasn't an option for us. As for enjoying the luau... it was fun, food was delicious. I am glad that I went to it... but will probably not go back there again.

In a way it was nice being in cat 3 as I did not feel quite so congested. Although it is still a crammed in area. But I did not at least feel as closely surrrounded, elbow to elbow, and back to back. I found it more relaxing.
The front seating portion to me feels very congested and confining, unless you are lucky enough to be seated at the very front tables.

Thanks for the replies, hopefully we won't be stuck behind a pole. I think we will keep the reservation and hope to have a decent view.

We had cat 3 when we went last year. It was our first time and I didn't really know what to expect...our seats were HORRIBLE...we could hardly see and I felt like I was miles away from the *action* The food was good at best, but I don't think I'll ever pay that kind of money again for that show...I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but it didn't feel very *disney* to me and I thought the show was cheesy...well, what I could see of it anyway. We actually left a little early to try and beat the crowds getting out of there.

That was actually your mistake. The last performer is a fire dancer, and he is incredible. It is worth fighting the crowd and sitting until the end to see him. And actually... about 1/3 of the audience leaves early, so it isn't terrible getting out of there.
