Yay or Nay. This is all they seem to have available and I am wondering what the Category 3 seating is like. We will have 2 small kids with us and I don't want them to miss out on too much of the action so I am wondering if I should make this ADR or not. Thanks!

It is small so in my opinion there is not a bad seat in the house. The cast walks around and gets the everyone involved a lot so I think you can not go wrong anywhere you sit!

I think all category seats are in the balcony. This might actually be better for young kids because they're looking down on everything, as opposed to trying to see over whomever is in front of them. I've sat in the balcony before and it was just as fun. If you really want to go, don't let the seating dissuade you.

We LOVED the category 3 seating and actually liked it better than when we sat front and center a few years ago.

The balcony seating worked out so much better for my DS2 who got fussy in between the show breaks. Because it's one row of tables, not a cluster like on the main floor, I was able to walk around with him. I really think this was better for us as we didn't disturb anyone like we would have on the main floor.

My boys also liked the view from the balcony, it just added something to the show.

I say go for it. There's really not a bad seat in the house. :thumbsup2

We've sat in the balcony several times and always thought that we had an excellent view of the show.

For me I say Nay. It's not something you do every trip. Although we have did this pleanty of times back in the day . I am always glad we did CAT1. And will always pick CAT 1 when ever we go back.

I just booked cat 2 and specifically asked for balcony (that way we'd be in center and not on the sides- just personal preference). Now I'm wondering if the sides of the balcony might be better so no one might have to have their backs to the stage and turning around constantly? I hadn't thought about our family of 5 at a table with some of us with our backs to the stage. hmmm

Anyway, we think we'll prefer the balcony actually. We learned awhile back that the more expensive seats for things right up front aren't always the best seats in the house in our opinion! We stopped booking the front row seats for circus, Disney on ICe, etc. and started taking the cheapest up in the nosebleed section of the balconies and found we liked that better because we could SEE EVERYTHING without having to crane our necks up to see stuff and move head side to side/etc. We figured it will be the same with HDDMR. I was afraid if we did a cat 1 (or even cat 2 without requesting the balcony) that we'd end up further back from the stage- at the same level obviously- and have a hard time seeing around people and missing some of it. We're not tall people and I get tired of watching things with backs of people's heads in the way. LOL

1) Can you see, yes.
2) Is the service good, yes.
3) Are they good seats, no.
. . . one-half of the table has to crane their neck
. . . you could have a pillar in your view
. . . the angles are obscure

NOTE: We did Cat-3, once. We will never do it again. Why do you think they are cheaper than Cat-1 or Cat-2? IF there were bad seats, then they would all be priced the same.
