Catamaran Racing at Key West?

Has anyone done this excursion? Can you please tell me what you thought about it. Was it worth the time/money? Sounds like fun.... but is it really?

My DH, DS and myself did this excursion and had a fabulous time! I would do it again. It was wonderful way to be able to sail. Our boat won first place during the first race and I think we finished dead last the next two. We found it worth the money.

It sounds as though you do 3 races. Is that right? Can you please go into a little more detail about what you do? Thanks!

There were 6 people plus the captain on each of the catamarans. Each person was assigned a task and then the captain told us what to do. There are three races. They had drinks on board but I can't remember if they were for the sailing or just for after. We live on the west coast where the water tends to be a much darker blue. I was the person in charge of the radio so was very busy at the beginning of the races and got to enjoy the beatiful water and scenery the rest of the time. My son was eight at the time and enjoyed it as well. We are a very competitive family so it was right up our alley. I wish I had pictures to send but during our entire 7 day cruise last time we took less than a roll of film. We are really bad with pictures.
