Catacombs in Paris closed in Sept?

After the half marathon at DLP next month, we are heading back into Paris for a few days. I was hoping to get advance tickets to the catacombs to skip the line, but the online reservation system has Sept 10 - Oct 1 blocked out. Does anyone know why?

There’s a scrolling text (in French) on the Catacombs website that states they will be closed during those dates for renovations. It says they will build a new visitor center during that time.
