I have never taken a cruise and neither has my husband. I've been thinking I would like to take one in the future but I don't know what Cat I need for my family.

Since we have never cruised I was thinking about the 3 or 4 day Bahamas cruise.

My family at the time would consist of , me, dh, dd (5), dd (3), and since I am pregnant another child that will be (1 yrs old).

Is my only choice a cat 4? :confused3

Even with my kids ages connecting rooms would be okay. I would probably sleep in one and my husband in the other.

Thanks!

To get the most for your money, I'd get 2 connecting inside staterooms. You'll have more room and it will cost you less than a cat 4.

With connecting rooms there is no reason to have to seperate from your husband. You can leave the doors open between the 2. With the outer door locked, it really isn't any different from them being in their own bedrooms at home, seperate from the parents. Two rooms worked out just great for us with our 3 children also. :sunny:

I agree -- if you can afford it, get connecting cabins. The rooms are very safe. Table corners are rounded, there is only one electrical outlet by the desk (just bring some outlet covers). If you get a verandah, the lock is way up high, so there's no chance your kids will go exploring.

If you can't swing 2 cabins, the Cat. 4's are very nice. Either option will be fine. :sunny:
