There is this cat that has been hanging around our neighbourhood. I really just noticed it a lot today, but I know that it has been here before recently.

We have 2 cats and one of mine and this cat tend to have "quarrels". It has been coming to my house a lot today. I have tried to coax it into coming to me but it is just a little skittish. It is starting to come closer, I put out some food and it seemed hungry.

This cat is wandering around the neighbourhood like it is looking for something.......I don't know what?????????? Do you think it is just lost????????? It seems to be searching with such purpose.

the cat may well be tryingto find its way home,, or back to where it came from. Cats are often dropped off in nieghboirhoods where ppl see other cats, as a wway to keep them from trying to get home, there are so many ppl who are trying to rid themselves of cats that they are being abaandoned all over. we had 6 abandonedin our nieghborhood last month when an older lady moved away, her kids and grandkids did nt manage to catch her cats and take them away. so now wee have 6 extras tryingto eat when ever we feed our 1 outside kitty, and that are fighting or quarreling with my shadow kitty,, shadow is a 20 lb black long haired persion that has been nuetered ,, coco , mrs frogs old female has been spaYED, we were hoping to be just the 4,, our three, coco shadow, and brother kitty( brother kitty is a twin to shadow) he stays outside and hasnt been fixed yet, and grandmothers tom cat,, now i cant just abandon these six extra's no one to call to come get them, and if i was to get rid of the outdoor kitty and stop feeding them our local animal shelter( a bit over zealous) would come in and try to get me fined with cruelty even though our nieghbor was the one that left the kittys,,, advise,, call local aspca now,, before they try and come down on you for a stray that was abandoned at your house.

Well I have 8 cats and like you I would never be able to not try and save that baby.

All 8 of my babies live inside with me. If a stray came up I would have to try and get it to the vet and knowing me probably keep it.

If you already have cats, please don't let it in without getting it Vet checked for Feline AIDS and Leukemia first. Both are highly contagious and you wouldn't want anything to happen to your own kitties.

ya know for a site dedicated and in honor of a 4 ft mouse there sure are a lot of cat lovers here:) :wave: :wave:

::yes:: very true, Froggy.

I have not seen the cat yet today, but I am going to keep an eye out for it, if/when I am at home.

Virgo10, I won't let it in the house for sure, but both of my cats are indoor/outdoor cats, so they have probably already been exposed to this cat.
