Hi! I booked Cat 9 on Deck 2, Midship near the elevator and near the conference room. What do you guys think? Do you guys have any room/location preference? Do you have any #rooms to share? Thanks in advance.

I had Cat 8 on Deck 7, but I switched to Cat 9 to save $100. I just hope that the view is just as nice as being on Deck 7. I am not sure if staying on port side or the starboard is better? Any comment or preference on that? Thanks!! :)

We have stayed both times on Disney Wonder on Deck 2 midship category nine.We love it there. There isn't too much movement, and it is great to be right by the elevator. We have stayed both port board and starboard, and we didn't really see any difference as we always went upstairs when the ship sailed off.The noise volume was great as there was no noise. As a matter of fact,we are sailing again Category Nine Deck 2 in December, but this time it will be on the Magic.

Fantasia:

I almost always stay on deck 2. My favorite cabin is 2560, midship. Great location! It's on the starboard side, almost right below where the gangway is located for boarding at Port Canaveral. I find that the room tends to be quite, Lumiers is located just above, so not much moving around above you. I've been on the port side also, but it can be a little noisy because of the long hallway connecting the resturants. My favorite thing about the cat 2 outside cabins is the huge portholes.

Have a great trip
Sue

Thanks for your help guys! Sue, that's the room number that I booked!! It is right next to the elevator, starboard side! I feel much better now!

Anyone else would like to share their experience or their room/locationpreference? Thanks!!

Fantasia:

WOW! That is so cool that you are in 2560 also. Will you be on the Magic or the Wonder? I was in that cabin last August, booked it for this coming October and am also in it for Bringing the Magic back home next August. In my opinion it's the best on the ship. Hope that you enjoy it also.

Fantasia we were midship near elevators and conference room in 2071 and 2073 in October! We loved it!!!!!!!!!There was hardly movement and dinner, shows and kids clubs were just a quick hop up the stairs. The only time we went for the elevator was to get to deck 9! It was very convenient and when we rebooked our upcoming family cruise we picked the same rooms. But when we got home we decided to try a verandah this time. You will love the location. Have a great time! Did you decided yo book the land seas part seperate? Or did you decide to let DCL handle everything for you? Did you get quotes from other TA's to find a cheaper rate? If you booked directly thru DCL thats OK. Once you find a TA with a cheaper rate you can transfer your ressie to them. I hope you checked with allseas and dana at cruiseplanners. I hate to see you pay more than you have to :-) It is good to see you over here on this board. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of you after you trip as well:teeth:

I have cat. 9 --2580--for the 14 day PC cruise coming back to FL next summer. Is that one o.k as far as little noise?? (My dd will be 2 years 4 months and I want her to sleep well!!!!!!!);)

You should be fine in that area.
I think we've only been on deck 9 twice. Once was under Rockin Bar D, and while we did hear the bass overhead late every night, I was typically too exhausted to care by the time we got back to our stateroom. I had no trouble falling asleep!
We were also in 2626, and that's the one I would never stay in again. It was right above a cargo door, and trust me, you get into the ports EARLY. I never felt like I got a good rest.
Midship you shouldn't have too much noise potential overhead.

Yes Sue...#2560 is the room! The lady gave me a couple of choices and I just told her the room # and she said it was available. I hope I will enjoy this room just as much as you did.

dzneprincess, Glad to hear that you also like Deck 2. I am doing the Cruise only and then just one day at CSR and do MK. I didn't let Disney book the whole trip. I called DCL for the Cruise and the Ground Tranfer and the INSURANCE PROTECTION. Then I called Disney CRO for the one night at CSR. The night we fly in (the night before the Cruise), we are planning to stay at the Hyatt (in the airport). And I guess from there, the next day DCL bus will pick us up and hopefully on disembarkment day they can drop us of at CSR instead of airport.

I checked out the website that I stumbled here on this board and checked it out. Tim the TA quoted me the same price and the AAA quoted me almost the same price. I just went with DCL, I know I can trust them.

I have been lurking here for about 2 weeks now trying to gather as much infos as I can. And you guys have been AWESOME!! It's nice to hear infos and experiences from the people that actually went on the Cruise. And I know you guys are honest and will let everyone know...the good and the bad...the pros and the cons.

If anyone else would like to chime in, plz do!! Thanks everyone in advance!

Sue...I forgot to answer your question. We are doing the "Wonder."

Thanks inkkognito for sharing your thoughts/experience. I will surely stay away from room 2626.

Fantasia, do me a favor and try www.micdan.com I think I have told you b4 in one of your other threads, but you may have missed it. Dana is great and she has always been able to beat my lowest price, with the exception of one time. I know you all are going to have a wonderful time!

hey. i booked room 2566 on my june 05 05 cruise. glad to hear it will be a good spot. when are you going? if its before june , please let me know how you like it.:earsgirl:

I just booked this morning for the Sept 25, 2004 Magic Western and got cabin 2561 starbord side. I have stayed on Decks 1 and 2 several times and love the locations. Everytyhing is so convenient to this area....except of course the pools.

Thanks dzneprincess, I will check out that site.

cruisin05, I am sailing on Dec 9-12 "Wonder". This is our first Disney Cruise...well...our FIRST Cruise! I'll write a trip report when we get back...which won't be for a while.

We cruised in 2674 last January, and loved the room. It was a nice quiet hallway, and near the midship elevator and stairs. A GREAT location for the clubs, restaurants, guest services, and lobby.

As for the view, remember you are perhaps 30-40 feet above the water. The most expensive yachts in the world are much shorter, and they think they have a great view. We loved the huge porthole; it was fun to see the waves up close as well as have the distant view. I think cat 9/deck 2 is one of the great deals of DCL

Just back from the Disney Wonder and re-booked for 8/28/05. They gave me cabin 2104 Cat 9 on deck 2. Anyone know anything about the location or noise level of this cabin? Thanks.

My favorite cabin is 2560

How cool!!! That is our room for our July '05 cruise. So good to here I was nervous about the Cat 2 also, but with the kids (and not wanting a verandah) this is what All Seas recommended to me.

As long as we are talking Cat 9, deck 2, anyone ever stayed in or near 2098 that can give me a report? TIA

Well, now I'm very worried. We are cruising on the 2/13/05 Wonder in Cabin 2626 -- which someone just said they would never stay in again. Can I get my cabin changed? We booked through Costco. Can I just call them and say I don't want to stay in Cabin 2626 - please get us another cabin?

YIKES!!!
