Cat. 8&9 comparison

I'm still undecided between the two categories. Can anyone share some insight to the sizes of the porthole windows between the two? Are they same size, or are the cat. 8's larger? I much appreciate the info.

Laura, they are exactly the same, except Cat. 8s are one the higher decks 5, 6 and 7, all the way forward. Cat. 9s are on Deck 2 and Deck 1. On Deck 1 the Cat. 9s ARE different; they have two smaller porthole windows rather than one large one. That is the only place there is a difference.

Thank you Michele. I can breath a sigh of relief and finally settle on the cat. 9. Short of having an actual *photo* of the room, since a photo is worth a thousand words, I trust the opinions shared here on the Disboards. Thanks again.

As Michelle said...the ones on Deck 1 have 2 smaller portholes...we have stayed in Cat 8's (deck 6) and Cat 9's on both Deck 1 and 2 and are happy with them all!!! Iam just happy to be on the ship!!!

Barb,
I am a regular visitor to your website (and Dave's) and have found them both to be a valuable resource for the many questions we all are faced with. I was not sure, however, if the porthole size would vary from decks 5-6-7 down to the deck 2. Thanks for the info.
