We had 8602 in December of '04.....and I'm hoping that they have now fixed the shower in the Master bath so that it doesn't flood the floor, because it did back then. They have removed the tubs from those bathrooms, so now there are just showers in both baths.
We were on the ship for 10 nights and didn't have any problem with motion...but I think we had nice weather and calm seas. I know that we've had worse motion problems in the front of the ship, compared to the back.
We LOVED the huge verandah. There is a round table that would seat four chairs, a smaller table, four deck chairs and two loungers. The only thing it could really use is an umbrella...there is no shade out there.
I have to disagree with Outahere. When the fold-out sofa sleeper is open, there is very little floor space in 8602 and 8102. We managed to fit a twin air mattress next to the balcony door on the far side of the sofa sleeper, but it was a tight fit. With the sofa opened, the only way to get over there was to climb across the sofa. There's no walking room between the foot of the bed (of the sofa sleeper) and the entertainment unit.
In 8600 & 8100, however, there IS more floor space.
I guess if you were to move the arm chair, and the dining table and chairs, you could fit a double or queen air mattress on the side of the sofa that's closest to the wet bar/entry....but then no one could get to the door of the suite or the 2nd bathroom.
The reason that there is less space in 8102 & 8602 is because the room is cut in a pie shape....it's wider where the wet bar and table are, then narrows as it heads toward the balcony door. I know the pictures I posted on the "virtual stateroom tour" are small, but if you look closely, you can see. I might be able to post them here, larger, if you'd like.
Pete....how old are your two boys? I'd say that if they are under the age of 12 or 13, depending on their size, they'd do okay sharing the sofa. My teen daughter and her friend shared one a year ago, and it was a pretty snug fit.
