Hi,

Well we decided to splurge for a Cat 3 cabin on the 10 June 2006 Eastern Caribbean Cruise. We've cruised in a Cat 4 cabin on the Wonder and in a Cat 8 cabin on the Magic and we've got a Cat 6 reserved for the 30 July 2005 West Coast Cruise.

What is the concierge service all about? Details please. My husband and I will be traveling with our two children who will be 4 and 6 when we sail. Thanks.

Basically they make your vacation even easier. Before you go on the cruise, you can call and book your PALO reservations over the phone.....when you get onboard....you will go to meet the concierge team....there you will set up your spa treatments....excursions ( if you haven't already booked them ) and sign up your kids for the clubs.

Other then that....they don't do to much more. They will check in with you once a day to see if you need anything and they will leave you treats everyday. I have heard that they leave the kids arcade cards also. Instead of getting your bill the morning of debarktation....you will get your bill the night before. If there are any problems, just call them, and they will take care of it for you. You also get full room service from the restruants if you decide not to go to the restruant. Ohh and you also get full breakfast in your room also.

Phew....I don't think I missed anything. :earboy2:

Have a great cruise.

Oh...you will also have a few cans of soda and a few bottles of water on the first day in your room. They won't replace them though...they only do that for the cat. 1 and 2's

Our concierge team was great - Anna and Cristelle, I believe. We were in a CAT 3 on the Dec 4 Western. We had two other parties in our group, staying in staterooms on either side of us (one connecting, one not). One person from each of those parties was permitted to join me for the concierge meet, and we signed up for the kid's clubs, Flounders, the spa, wine tasting, galley tour, wine tasting, bridge tour, and Tea w/Wendy - all without having to wait day-to-day to find out when those events would occur. A full cruise itinerary with all of our bookings (for all three staterooms, combined into one itinerary) was delivered that night.

We had juice/soda/water and a fruit basket the first day. Arcade cards for the kids in all three parties were dropped off on two of the days; Disney coloring pages and crayons for all of the children on 2 days; an awesome plate of petits fours one day; cheese platter another day (yes, I know you can get this one from room service anytime!) We had a few people miss wine tasting and the concierge team was able to rebook them for the second tasting without losing the fee they paid - same kind of thing happened with the galley tour and they were able to shift times for us the night before without a problem. Oh, and someone told them it was my birthday our last day and they decorated for that! All in all, they were wonderful! Between the service and the space in the room, I'm hopelessly hooked, much to my DH's chagrin.....
