I was just wondering if there are more outlets since the room is bigger? With 5 of us in the room I didn't know if we needed to take some extension cords....

Thanks in advance!

Well, I haven't stayed in a Cat. 3 but have stayed in the Cat. 2. I always bring an extension cord. HTH

The answer is no. There are not additional outlets in this room. Take a surge protector with you. It really isn't even that much larger. Its about a twin size matress longer and it is sideways not lenght ways. I double you'll see/feel an incredible difference.
Enjoy, you'll enjoy the verandah! :earsgirl:

We are on the magic right now in a cat 3. Outlets are driving me nuts. There are no more outlets, and the ones they have are harder to get at. Bring a power strip. The regular staterooms have an outlet by the desk. In the cat 3, the outlet is hidden behind the TV and there is one inside the murphy bed. Had to call guest services to find these. Been a pain to charge the camera batteries

I have heard that there is an outlet behind one of drawers in the vanity, between the master bedroom and master bath. Try pulling out the drawer to find it.

Cruising Grandma is correct. I sailed on my 4th cruise over Christmas 2003. All cruises have been in Cat 3 or Cat 2. There is an additional outlet in the wall behind the right hand drawer of the dressing table - if I recall correctly it is always the right hand drawer.

You are able to plug in your (their) blowdryer and forget about it in that drawer. I always bring at least two extension cords for our Blow Dryers, Curling Irons, Cell Phones, Digital Cameras and other paraphenalia. I just really like being prepared for anything.

Definitely take a power strip (don't know that I'd worry about it being a surge protector though). It's amazing how seemingly small items create maximum enjoyment of the cruise by reducing aggravation. Oh and I'm a member of the over the door shoe hanger club too.

Interesting location for a hidden outlet -- behind a drawer!! Also interesting how housekeeping and concierge folks dont seem to know it's there!
