Is there anyplace online that you can price a room in these categories? Does anyone know how much more expensive the category 3 is from a category 4 room?

Thanks

I don't think any of the online travel agencies (or DCL) have cat 3 and above pricing online. Since they are so limited, I would think that DCL controls all of them.

We were in a cat 3 on a 4 night Wonder cruise, and I think the price was about 25 - 30% higher than a cat 4.

I'd love that info, too. We are currently in a cat 4 and are waitlisted for cat 3 but the guy I spoke to couldn't/wouldn't price it for me.

Thanks!!
Laura

The jump from a 4 to a 3 is substantial. Not only are you getting a much bigger room but concierge service to go with it. We recently decided to upgrade from a 4 to a 3 and the difference was about $2400 to $2500 on a 7 day. But, so much will depend on when you are cruising, what initial rate you had, how far out you booked and are upgrading (or initially booking), etc. Not very clear but call DCL or a TA and ask. I haven't found any site online that will quote concierge suites without TA interaction.

When we rebooked in Nov. for 10/30/04 the difference for a family of 5 was just over $2,000 and booking two connecting rooms would be less expensive than a cat. 4.

A Western cruise in Nov. 2005 for a family of 5 would be approx. $12,000 for cat 1, $11, 500 for cat 2, $9,800 for cat 3 and about $6,300 for a cat 4.

We paid $6656 for August, 2002, cat 3. That was for two adults, one junior. Included insurance, didn't include air or transfers.

Just returned from the 01\17\04 Western and rebooked on board for the 01\22\05 Eastern. We were given quotes of $4008.05 for a cat 4 and $6618.05 for the cat 3. That includes the 10% discount. Hope this helps.

This might make things a bit clearer.

For our Magic cruise next February, President's Week 2005, I booked a Cat 3 connecting to a Cat 4.

I'm looking at the confirmation sheets right now. Each room has one adult and three children listed.

The cat 4 rate is $7,116.
The cat 3 rate is $10,196.

How can each room have one adult and 3 children listed? Or did you just mean that literally while it's charging amounts for 2 adults, 2 children per room?
Just curious.
We have 2 rooms booked and they charged 2 adults per room -as I thought they always do (we are a family of 5- 2 adults, 3 children). I didn't know they would do 1 adult and 2+ children in each room instead?

Sorry for the confusion in my attempt to make it clear.

You are correct...I did get charged for 2 adults / 2 children for each room, even though it's me, my DW, my three kids and their three cousins.
