Cat 12 Gaurentee

I am sailing Aug 25 with my 7 yr old son. This will be our 4th cruise on the Wonder. I have a Cat 12 Guarentee room. When i checked on the web page today they assigned room 2015 (Cat 12). Does anyone think i will still get upgraded, or will i be in a 12??? I know i paid for a 12, but i was hoping for better. Anyone ever have docs say one room, then upgrade on check in?

Yes, it is possible to be upgraded at any time, even after you get your documents.

The rule is to book a cabin where you will be happy. That way, if you get a free upgrade, it is a bonus. You can also ask about a paid upgrade at the port. It is cheaper to buy it at the port than in advance IF it is available. Another alternative is to try to buy a paid upgrade now.

upgrades are not that common. It certainly does happen and can happen after you already have a room assignment, but don't hold your breath. If you are desperately hoping for an upgrade and it doen't happen (likely won't when you consider most ships are full or near full), then you will be disappointed when it doesn't come through. And who wants to be disappointed at the start of their magical vacation???
