Can anyone tell me how these rooms really are? Also are there any of them I should try and avoid? I am going to book tommorow and I am so nervous (excited) Do you think $1500 for 4 on nov 28 is a good rate? Thanks for answering! We will be on the 4 day cruise.

So November 28th is a Sunday. That would be a four day cruise. I can't tell you about the price. My feeling is make your best deal and forget about it. If you pay attention to things others are saying about price, it could ruin your fun.

As far as the catagory 11. We were in catagory 11 for our first two cruises. We're going for a 10 this time for the extra bath. I have all girls ... need I say more:D

So we had an 8 and 10 year old with us and it was not bad in a cat 11. If you're traveling with kids - it may not be bad. If they are teenagers it could get crowded - especially the bath situation.

6611ish is a good area. It's mid ship 6th floor. Easy to get to everything. We liked that area.

Have fun!

We had a cat. 11 last year. There were four of us, myself, DH, and a 10 and 12 year old. We had plenty of room. We were in 6545, midship, and it was a nice location.

We were in a cat 11 in 2002 and they are fine. You really aren't in them enough to feel closed in.

We've done three cruises in Cat. 11, and are planning on booking our fourth for late next winter. We love it. We'd rather save the money for other things! Twice we were just two adults, and once we were three, with more than two weeks worth of luggage, and we were very comfortable.

You can see some pictures if you click on the links in my sig.

I can't wait to cruise again!

Whether a 3-night, 4-night or 7-night sailing, the difference in price between a Category 10 (Deluxe Inside) and Category 11 (Standard Inside) is generally $80 to $100. It generally breaks down to $10 to $15 per night. The Category 10 has the split bathroom, the Category 11 does not.

When you think about how much you are spending on the cruise, the price difference is very insignificant. Do four (or three or two) of you share the same bathroom sink at home as you are getting ready for work or school? Why would you want to do so on your vacation to save $10 to $15 per night?

This one's a no-brainer. Go with the Category 10.

Yes, we do! Only two of us now but we have no problem sharing the bathroom at home, nor do we in a cat 11. Besides brushing teeth and shaving and washing hands/face there isn't anything else that requires a sink when you are getting ready... and there are two other mirrors in a cat 11 stateroom.

Actually we usually do all share one bathroom and it only has one sink. I'm not sure why though since we have 3! I think that I will be more happy with my cat 11 on deck 7 then a cat 10 on deck 2. I feel like we will be right in the middle and it will be easier to get places. Thanks you all for your comments!

Hi we went for cat 11 for the same reason, deck 2 cat 10 or deck 7 cat 11 i wanted to be higher up and only have one bathroom at home so not really a concern to be sharing.

I've also heard that if you book cat 11 aft deck 7, you will be very close to the secret deck w/lawn chairs and all, which is totally aft. We were lucky enough to get an SPH (cat 10 on deck 5), but if we hadn't, I would have probably went cat 11 aft deck 7! You can sneak out there for some quick sunshine! Or moonlight, as the heart may so desire. My understanding is they lock the deck 7 aft deck at 11pm or midnight and reopen around 7am.
