Is it located above the sofa bed in the ceiling? I thought that I remembered this info from somewhere.

I believe so.

I havent seen it, but friends of ours stayed in that cabin & that is where they said it was.

Yes, It comes out of the ceiling! Both the couch and ceiling bed are very comfortable!
