when will the castle be uncovered again? I would love to take my niece and nephew to DL, but this would be their 1st and probably only trip to Disney, but I would hate to have the castle covered up while we are there. TIA!!!

I read that it's going to be from July 19th to the 25th of November.

I was thinking of going in mid October! The kids have a partial week off of school, and I was trying to avoid alot of absences!!! I guess I will have to retink this. Thanks for the info!

It was amazing how fast the scaffolding went up on Monday from just the brown gate at park open to full scaffolding by evening-

They boxed the castle in already?!!! EM, how was your trip?

My trip was amazing! From seeing the faces of the CMs when they asked how many in our party (48) to meeting the voices of Mickey and Minnie to well everything else :)

As for the pictures- Ill post a link to them as soon as the site gets back up :)

Thanks for the pics Em and Darkbeer. It looks like we can see at least some of it. Just 3 more days for us. We cann't wait!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Em I am glad you guys had a blast.

Sorry to say, but you can't see any of the castle any more. We just got back today, and like Em said, the scaffolding went up on Monday (we got our pic in front of the castle just before that happened!), and they started covering the castle on Tuesday - yesterday it was all covered. I heard that they're going to paint the castle gold. (Thank goodness they're not doing that birthday cake thing like they did t WDW!)

Even though I am sad that I can't see the castle anymore...you've got to admit that it looks pretty rad!

so after Nov. it should be ready to the 50th year celebration...or are they going to do more work on it before the summer/

I would assume that they will get everything finished by November. Seems like plenty of time to get it all done.

I belive the painting for the castle will be done for the 50th with this refurb., but there are "finishing touches" that they will do on May 4 while the park is closed.

Yes...all for the big 50th....
Thanks so much DarkBeer and Emily for keeping us in the loop:D
