I just started the Castle/Tinkerbell Art of Disney Cross stitch doing it on navy 18ct. The black and white chart though is very hard on the eyes (you would have thought as much as they charge for these kits they could make the chart in color) anyway I was thinking about scanning it in and coloring it myself to make it easier and was wondering if perhaps somebody else has already done this here on the boards?

Also does anybody know if they still sell the Preening Pixie Tink kit at WDW? I have been looking for it to show up on ebay with no luck.

That sounds great!
I hope that when you finish it, you'll post it. Wish I could help you out on the colour chart!

I don't think they sell the Preening Pixie anymore, because my Mom purchased it for me last fall at the Cast Member store, and she saw them marked down at the Character Warehouse/Premiere stores as well.

There is a new Tink piece based on some of the fairies stuff they have been doing lately.

When I was there in December the ones I for sure remember seeing were, (using that list) everything from the "Mickey Salutes America" on down, except the Preening Pixie.

I have five of these kits now, that I have to do, and I still need to purchase the new Tink one. I'm currently working on the Happiest Celebration on Earth one, I think I should be done with all of these about 2018.

have they come out with the family dining one again yet? I was there last Sept and the cm's said they had asked for it to be brought back since it was so popular and had been told it probably would. They also said the tink with spring blossoms was part of a series, one for each season. They were waiting to see how well the first one did before bringing out another one.

Where in WDW do you find the x-stitch kits? I don't remember seeing them in 2/2004, but maybe I did and thought they were too expensive.

They are at all the Art of Disney Stores - MGM, Epcot and Downtown Disney (it's my 2nd favorite store next to the World of Disney Store)

Thanks. We did so much last time. I don't remember it all!

That might be a little difficult given all the different colours in hte castle. It took me about 3 years to this cross stitch(I would put it down for a while then pick it back up)But good luck if this is what you decide to do.It is a beautiful picture once it is done.I have just started the Past,Present and Forever kit and this one is going to take awhile too.Just about every stitch in the castle has to be blended.

Good luck with yours.

I've done the tink/castle kit and it wasn't the pattern that was hard on my eyes but the fabric. I finally put a book light behind which made it easier to work on. It is really beautiful when finished. I recently completed the Mickey Salutes America and it is getting framed. My ds and his family picked up the past, present, future when they were down last summer but I haven't started that one yet.

I have not x-stitched in a while but I think I might have to start again, those are all so beauitful.
