Castle Suite

Are they still using the castle Suite? Once the promotion ended that gave a family a night in the castle, what did they do w/ the room?

Are they garnting wishes?
Can the general public view the room now?

My daughter wanted to stay there and of coarse I told her it would never happen. Not that lucky. She just asked about it and I didn't know the answer.

Just curious.

It's occasionally used for special events and convention groups but I've not heard anything about the public being allowed in or being granted nights.

SW ( and I think Liberty Travel) had a contest last year. First prize was a Disney trip which included one night stay at the Castle Suite.

When we had a VIP tour guide last summer, I asked about the Castle Suite and was told it is still being used as a contest prize from various travel companies. I'm not sure if that is still continuing into 2011. I know where the door is, but I said even though most people could never stay there, it would be nice if the suite was included on a Behind the Scenes tour so folks could just tour through it.

I sure miss the Year of a Million Dreams when everyday people had a chance to stay there. That was the best promotion ever.

I heard from the cousin of a Disney bus driver that the Suite broke down and they couldn't get parts to fix it because the company that made it for them had gone bankrupt. So it wasn't going to be fixed any time soon.

I heard they are using it as a shop to rebuild Iago from the Tiki Room. They can't rent the room because it smells like burnt feathers in there.

They actually make a random drawing for a stay at Cinderella Castle Suite among the disney CM's almost every month, the last drawing was last month.

According to the Keys to the Kingdom tour... the castle suite is being rewarded randomly to Guests who utilize the Magic Express. You show up to the bus and they tell you they have a seperate ride for you and your family; then they drive you to the castle suite for the night.

Yes,Kevin and Danielle Jonas stayed there for their First Anniversary and Mariah Carey stayed there when she filmed the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.

I agree TOTALLY-best promo EVER!

I still have my Dream FASTPASSES-didn't use them,kept them as souvenirs.

The most AMAZING thing is that SEVERAL Guests DECLINED to stay in the Castle Dream Suite when they won it during YOAMD!

We don't have a chance at staying there anyway, since we're a couple and not a family, but it would be nice to just see it.
