Castle Question

Is this castle still being painted? I read that it was borded up and the bridge to FL was closed. Can someone confirm??

I saw pictures from Feb 1 and it was still closed for painting. Hopefully soon it'll open!

I posted the pic of the crowds in the superbowl thread and it shows people walking into the castle so I assume it's not covered anymore.

They seem to be painting the castle in sections. They started in the front lower section and are slowly moving around the castle.


It looks like they're just removing the gold and aren't touching anything else for now.

I saw the castle today. The center and Tomorrowland side are not covered and the Frontierland side is. All the gold is still there. I honestly couldn't tell from the distance I saw it at what they actually did. What I saw looked exactly the same as before.

The gold is actually slowly being removed from the castle. The gold is turning a much lighter shade, closer to a tannish color.
