WHAT?? :scared1:
Where did you hear this? and when is said construction to begin at the castle? I leave next week, CR MK view.

I haven't read that, but it seems plausible. September is the heart of the off-season, and October 1 begins a new celebration, so we can expect that they will need to take much of the "old" celebration accessories off of the castle at some point during September.

This is what I found on the net regarding the castle construction:

From another site:
"In the Magic Kingdom: The decorations will be coming down off Cinderella’s Castle. Work is scheduled to begin September 13th, and the castle will get a repainting between the 19th and 30th of September. Some additional refurbishment will take place October-December in preparation for the installation of the Royal Bedchamber. There may be scaffolding, and a crane will be parked during the day."

The second site seems more authoritative, especially since it placed the months of the year in the correct order. :teacher:

:)

I didn't even notice that! :rotfl:

They are moving the crane being used for the work into position tomorrow before the park opens.

I have heard about the decoration removal and repainting job but does this mean the lights will be out???? I don't see that happening. After all, there will still be fireworks and all ... but one never knows!!!! :sad2: I hope the lights are left on for you "I  the Mouse!" -- I think it still would be fab to have a castle view -- it is pretty during the morning/day too!

Oh great, there goes any pictures I might have wanted to take of it. This sucks.

I Bicker with you too, agree.

It makes sense to turn the lights out if you think about it.

The construction work would ruin the Disney magic - at least that way it's hidden for part of the day IYSWIM?

You'll still be able to take pictures, you will still be able to eat at CRT, the crane will be put down during the day and behind the castle near the gardens....There shouldn't be any obstructions in front of the castle. All the work will be done at night when the park is closed.

Uh - Oh - painting? Please don't be pink, please don't be pink :rotfl:

"The next reported re-decoration of Cinderella Castle will occurr in late October and September of 2006. The decorations and gold trimmings will be taken down in late October. The new decorations and paint will go up in mid-Semptember. Specific details of the decorations have not yet been revealed."

Where is the first quote from? :rotfl: That doesn't even make sense.

The second statement is much more reasonable.

The wall would be around the crane. Nothing in front of the caste. There wasn't the last time.

Will we still be able to walk all the way THROUGH the castle? I soooo love that!
