It's an 'alright' hotel. If you do stay there, don't get a room in the front.
Lots of traffic noise.
The walk is okay,a little long at the end of the day.

It's an average family motel, that's across the street from the Harbor Blvd. entrance. I'd say it's about a 10 minute walk to the gate. The area is generally safe. But there's a great deal of commotion because Harbor is a very busy street, and lots of people walk from all those motels to the parks. I'd probably give this place a 2 or 3 on tripadvisor.

When we stayed there it was terrible, dirty rooms, insufficient towels (4 for a reservation with 6 on it and we had the worst time getting more), insufficient blankets for the 3 beds, no pool towels (yes it was Feb but the kids still wanted to swim in the heated pool), but the worst was the rude staff. We have no plans to return ever. It has been reported that the hotel has been updated but the staff issues we had and the non-response from management when we tried to complain made it clear we wouldn't go back. It took us about 15 minutes to walk and we had 4 kids with us, I want to say they were 8 and 11 that trip. We only walked it a couple times though, we just drove because we had Premium APs so we had free parking.

I just stayed there in February and we enjoyed it. We had a family suite and my only complaint was the people above us were pretty loud early in the morning and you could hear when someone was taking a shower, but it's a motel style place so not soundproof as much as a hotel. We had a renovated room and it was clean and really nice. They replaced the locks our second to last day where you just tap the card on a sensor and it unlocks the door. They made sure that we were aware of the lock changes. When we called for more towels one day they brought them to us quickly.

The walk was great to the park. I never felt unsafe in the area. There are many places to eat within walking distance. For my first stay in the area it worked for us.

We have stayed there twice since October. We like it. It is our number 2 choice on Harbor, and our number 1 pick for a suite. Its newly renovated, very clean and a ten minute walk to the park. Parking was easy. The area is safe. The family suite is very spacious and we fit 6 comfortably. My biggest complaint is the towels. There are not enough and they are small and rough. If I were staying again for more than a night I would bring a few of my own. Also, in the last room we stayed in the showerhead kind of sprayed out in a funny way, so no matter how hard we tried the bathroom was soaked after showers. We mentioned it at checkout, so I am assuming it was looked into!

We stayed there in 2012. We got an amazing deal and had low expectations because of it. (You usually do get what you pay for...) I have no complaints. We weren't expecting the Hilton; it's older and the room was pretty dated but clean and very spacious. The walk was kind of long but could've been worse. The staff were all really nice. My daughter left her glasses in the room and we were already to the airport when we realized it. Called the front desk, they went into the room and searched for them (found them behind the bed), then sent them to us FedEx. Next time I would probably spend a little more money to get a room directly across from the maingate...

We actually stayed there last week for the first time. We were actually pretty impressed. The rooms have just been redone and are slick and were very clean. They also had brand new tap lock cards as keys. We were on the 4th floor and it was very quite, little road noise. We did hear people in the hotel grounds but that stopped by around 9 pm. There was a Cheerleading competion on so lots of young people hanging out I think.

The walk to the park was under 10 mins with my pregnant wife and 3 year old. Bonus is free parking and internet.

The pool is small but clean although we did not plan any pool days. My only complaint was the AC was fairly loud although we switched it off at night as is was cool anyway.

We stated there this past December. It was ok. We wouldn't go out of our way to stay there again but neither would we cross it off if there was a really good deal.

Cons: We thought it was noisy. We didn't have a front facing room, but we were close to a stairway. It was quite loud. The faucet in the bathroom dripped. The heater/air conditioner is not set by thermostat but runs constantly at a set selection, so I was constantly getting up at night to switch it around. The shower pressure was really low. Housekeeping ran really late. We were out of the room by 8, and the first two days when one of us came back for a nap around 2-3ish with our youngest, housekeeping still hasn't been. Then no one came because we would be in the room until 4-5. We finally had to ask on the third day that they send someone. They were still cleaning when I came back with DD at 3, so I had to wait with her in the lobby. She was asleep in her stroller, so it didn't bother her, but I was pretty irritated as I had been looking forward to napping. By the time the room was done, my DD was awake because of noise in the lobby.

Pros: The walk wasn't bad to us. The room was clean. The beds were adequately comfortable. It felt very safe. Parking and wifi were free. My DDs enjoyed the castle theming. It's not expensive and often runs deals. It was fine. Nothing great but not bad. Oh, the pool seemed nice. We didn't use it as SoCal was experiencing an "artic blast," as per the news ;), while we were there.

We stayed there last April, it looked like they were in the middle of renovating some rooms. It was fine for us, no real complaints. Our room was much bigger than we expected it to be, which was a nice surprise. I don't remember hearing much noise and our window faced the street. It was walking distance to the parks with restaurants along the way. If I could get as good of a deal as I did last year, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
