Castle Hotel Across from Disneyland

Any one have any idea how the Castle hotel across from Disneyland is? Clean and basic? Please respond as my trip is coming up in a few weeks and I need to know asap. Thank you! Susaninkbounc

We stayed at the Castle Inn in November last year. Very basic hotel with outside hallways. I thought the beds would be too hard to sleep on but we were so tired at the end of each day, it didn't matter. The rooms were basic and clean and ours had a small refridgerator in it. We booked through get-away-today.com and had a very reasonable price. It is about two blocks from the light to cross to DL and then, it seemed to be another block to get to the front gates. This made for a very long walk at the end of the day.

Would I stay there again? Maybe not, only because I would like something closer to the entrance. The hotel itself was fine but very basic.

BTW, there were four of us, Mom and three DD's and the girls thought it was a cool place.

Hi Susan, The Castle hotel is a nice basic hotel. Very clean and the people working there are very nice. As stated above it makes the walk to the main gates approximately 3 blocks. The rates are reasonable. For the same rate ($74 a nite) you can stay at the Carousel Inn & Suites which is a little bit nicer hotel and is about 2 blocks closer to the main gate. It fills up quickly so you will need to plan ahead.
