it just opened today. So odd to it see.
Mostly ornaments.

Did you happen to look in the shop across the way that is in the castle? I know that one has been sort of the year round christmas merch store...did they change that as well?

Also, I guess that blows up the guess about the heraldry becoming PP FP. For now.

The castmembers said the other Christmas store in the castle closed last night and this new one took its place. The castle store(s) is all locked up. Is that the Enchanted Chamber? Both sides are shut. I spend the least amount of time in Fantasyland, especially shopping. I remember the candy shop in the castle though :)

That definitely answers that! Hmmmm I wonder what they will be doing with that spot now. I always thought that was one of the cutest shops. The sleeping beauty cake in there was adorable, and the feel of going into the castle to shop was neat.

I hope that shop will be readily used now. Everytime that I would pass the Heraldry shop, it looked like it was closed (whether it actually was or not) and hardly anyone would go in there.

I actually miss it being the Villains shop and think that Disney is missing out on a huge potential revenue by not bringing it back as a Villains location.

Maybe they will have a full-time ornament writer in there like WDW does in DTD?

I believe there was a lady writing on ornaments while I was in there. The shop was not well stocked. It looked like it "could" be temporary. There also appeared to be some banging going on in the castle where the old shop was.

That's good. I hope wherever the ornaments end up (I'm guessing they will be kept around) that they have an ornament writer.

Since the other shop closed, I seriously hope that they keep their SB cake display. My BFFs and I are the 3 Good Fairies every year for Halloween and we were hoping to get a good picture with Fauna in front of the cake this year.

They had one yesterday. Honestly the selection of ornaments was disappointing. The ornament shop in WDW has so much more variety, and in my opinion more creative, "unique" ornaments.

I believe I heard that location will be used for expanding the bibbidy bobbidy boutique.

If you could let us know if it's open or if there's an ETA that'd be great! I'm going on May 1st and reeeaaalllly wanted to see it!

SW's Grotto is still closed (decidedly). Forgot to ask a CM about a potential opening date but it looks far from complete :-(.

I stopped by on Saturday night and, as others have mentioned, it has a pretty generic selection of holiday merchandise (ornaments, some of the dishware from last holiday season, etc.). There was a CM doing customization there and they mentioned they'd be there until closing that night (midnight). While it's nice to have a holiday shop in DL, I didn't really see any merchandise that you couldn't find at the China Closet or Off the Page; only the customization was unique.
