Hi,

I wonder if you can help?

We have a CC room booked for December. Does anyone know what proportion of these rooms have a view of the park? As I am trying to figure out whether it is worth asking if there is a supplement we can pay to guarantee a park view? and is the view worth having ie would we be able to see fireworks etc?

We have not been to DLP before so any feedback welcome :goodvibes

Thanks in advance.

They do charge a premium for park view rooms. I know some people have been upgraded free of charge but it probably depends on how busy the hotel is.

I'd wait and see what room you get and then upgrade if you don't get the park view.

I don't know what % are park view rooms but I'd guess that it's <50%.

I remember someone (Carrie Cat?) posted a picture of the tariff board for the hotel. If you can find it, it would tell you the price for an upgrade.

Castle Club Garden View goes for 931-1362€ per night depending on wether it's low to high season

Park View is 1057-1488€ per night again depending on season

These are the prices from April to 7th of Nov 2012

Last year Nov-March was costing

Garden View = 812-1280€
Park View = 912-1380€

So it will be going up again in Nov this year

:)

Hi

We did castle club last year http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2815434

The first room we were offered, the view was terrible, pictures on the trip report.

I don't know if there are a large amount of rooms with park views as the castle club lounge takes up most of the view on one floor and the suites have it on the other floor.

When we queried the views we were told that the first view we were given and the view we ended up with, balcony over fantasia gardens are the same price!,,:confused3

The castle club lounge has a lovely view of the castle and is really nice. Don't forget your afternoon tea in there, well worth a trip back to the hotel.

Enjoy

Many thanks for the info :goodvibes

Will have a chat with DH and see what he thinks.... This is a one time only visit to DLRP (famous last words) and so I think a park view room would just be the icing on the cake :)

Thanks again,

Ali :goodvibes
