Anyone who has been there recently (or there now) is the crane anywhere in sight? I know the light netting was being put up (or is it done already) so I was just wondering if it was (or is) there and any idea how long.

TIA

I understand the lighting has been done for a few weeks. But I saw a photo yesterday with the crane - apparently it's for the bridge refurbishment on the Liberty Square bridge, according to the post wherever I saw it.

That was supposed to be completed this week, I think, so maybe it will be gone?

The dreaded crane was up and in full view on Saturday, Aug. 30 when I was there. Made a lot of people very angry.

The crane was there when we left (8/30). It does not appear to be related to the bridge. They had people on top of the castle doing something. I think it is castle related and not bridge related.

does anyone have a picture with the crane in sight? I'm interested in seeing how it looks.

I saw the bridge there on Thurs and Sat. I don't think it has anything to do with the Liberty Bridge. I had to get very creative with my photography, in hopes of using unique camera angles to keep the crane out of the shots.

Here is one

Definitely not for the bridge. There was a small crane next to the bridge reconstruction. I have some pics of the bridge but can't post them now.

That's definitely a bummer -- glad I'm not there now -- sorry to those of you that are!:sad2:

The crane came down halfway through Friday and it still wasn't there yesterday and if you're talking about the bridge from Liberty Square to Main Street, I walked over the new bridge yesterday, they seemed to have finished working on it.

I would say it will be there until at least November 5th as this is when we leave to return home.

I am a crane and scafolding magnet, just about every major tourist attraction I have visited has had scafolding or a crane on it.

For example

Castle Disneyland
Eiffel Tower Paris
St Pauls Cathedral
Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Tower of London
etc etc you get the picture

So I am very sorry.......

Would it be to much to ask then if you could cancel your upcoming WDW trip. Also could you please take your "crane" with you as well.

Thanks so much!! ;)
