HI! My DH and DN (age 11) would like to feed the stingrays. Has anyone experienced this? They picked the 9am time slot - is that a good time? Wasn't sure what time the boat docks at Castaway Cay. Thanks!

Great! Thank you! If they eat breakfast around 8 am, be done by 8:30 am to get off the boat, will 30 minutes be enough time to make it to a 9 am appointment?

Yes, there are trams to get you there but do get off prompt at 8.30am - they often open the doors just before that so be ready.

Takes ten minutes to walk from ship to stingrays. Very easy, very fun. My girls loved it.

We've done it twice and picked the first slot in the morning. We think it's a lot of fun. We like to get out there snorkeling before the water gets all stirred up and murky.

Thank you everyone! Sounds like a lot of fun.

One last question if I may..... my DN is not in our stateroom but everyone in our family will be getting off the ship to go to Castaway Cay at the same time. Will my DH be allowed to take her to the experience without her mom there but on the island?

Yes but you need the waiver parent permission signed.

And filed with guest services. GS can assist you with this. It's easy to do, but a must to allow a minor to leave the Ship without an adult from the same stateroom. They can choose to grant her permission to leave with a specified adult (who must be present at the moment of debarkation) or to disembark on her own without an adult, so you can make your own rules who she can leave with. This can be specified per port of call, so granting this right to CC does not allow her to leave in Nassau or any other port without her own parent.

Thanks for explanation of the specifics. I downloaded the form and read it. This will come in handy since we can put my DH and myself on it just in case. With an 11 year old, you never know!
