Castaway level question (multiple castaway levels in one room)

Hello all!

Quick question, on our upcoming cruise my parents are bringing my nephews. My parents are silver members and my nephews have never cruised with DCL before. Will the kids in the room also get the silver lanyards due to my parents castaway level?


Just trying to plan for if we need to bring them lanyards or not

The silver gift is per stateroom, but the lanyards are per person. I would make the assumption that your nephews will not receive one. Do you have some old ones you can bring?

Not other silver castaway ones. We are looking at buying other ones and little plastic pouches for the card.

I believe only the grandparents will get the silver landyards. You could buy the nephews landyards before hand in the
(unlikely) event they don't get any. I believe they will, just not Silver.

New cruisers do not receive a lanyard, only CC status.

For our first cruise we found some cute Disney lanyards at Home Depot. But then only my DH ended up using it, I just carried mine and DD's in my pocket or purse.

Yes, I'm bringing old lanyards for family for our upcoming cruise, even though they are in rooms with us, they won't have anything.

if the grandparents are less into fancy lanyards they might pass them on to the nephews. With the big Mickey as your card pouch they are very cool. I guess the grandparents would be fine with something functional instead. Otherwise get something really cute for the nephews so that they don’t feel left out.

There are also some lanyards available to purchase in the shops once you're onboard. Usually, they'll have a couple of generic Disney cruise designs and a special one if it's Halloween or Christmas or something like that.
