Fantasy double dip. It was gold member gift. What ship and kind of cruise was it? We have only received beach bag and no tumblers. Hoping Alaska will be different.
The Alaska, Europe, Transatlantic, and Panama cruises all get a backpack or sling type bag for their castaway club gift, with extra stuff depending upon your level. We should be getting one next August with our Northern European cruise...we'll see next May what gifts they're giving out in 2018!What ship and kind of cruise was it? Our Magic cruise May 2016, we got a backpack and one tumbler (EBTA). Would loved to have gotten two.Platinum on the wonder this past feb was the canvas burlap bag and 2 tumblers. Only gold and platinum got the tumblers. Same on the magic last feb, and same on the dream this past October. On the fantasy I need sept this year and Hopi g for something new.

The gold gift could have been something else. Most cruises it seems to be the tumblers. But there have also been luggage tags listed as current gold gifts.Ok, our last cruise we were gold and only received a beach bag. This was a Bahamian though. Did we not get the tumblers because it wasn't carribean?
On our cruises in April/May to the Southern on The Magic, we got a burlap bag with 2 cups on both sailings, we're platinum.
My son is gold and sailed The Wonder Baja out of San Diego and got a really nice blue sling bag, I was jealous. I now have 4 burlap bags :/
But I love the mugs.
I'm sure someone has answered this before, but I can't find the answer. If we have two cabins with some silver/gold members and some non-members in each cabing, will both cabins get the gifts? And what about lanyards? Thanks!
If there is a Castaway member in each cabin, each cabin will get the gift.
Lanyards *should* only be given to returning cruisers according to their level. Some port people might give the newbies ones, but I would not count on it. My and my parents' first Disney Cruise was my sister's 5th as a passenger and she got her Silver lanyard - but even though we were concierge (still don't know why my dad thought that was a good idea - we didn't use anything but the happy hour for 2 drinks - one for me and one for sis) my parents and I didn't get one.)
That's what I thought, but there is one twist to it and I'm not sure how this works. My husband and I are both silver, but our friends are not. We booked the reservation with him and one of our friends in one cabin and me and the other friends in the other cabin so both could get the advantage of our OBB. We were told we could switch the names when we check in...basically reuniting the families at check-in so husbands and wives and kids would all be with their original family. Would that have an impact on the gift? Sorry if this sounds convoluted.
When we were gold on our Med cruise in 2014, our sling bag was black and DCL's version of gold (aka yellow). I wonder if they are all one color now like the burlap bags. I would love a regular backpack like we received when we were silver.
We just had the same situation on the Dream - 3 cabins, 3 families put my husband on Cabin 1, me on Cabin 2 (both gold and receiving the room credit), daughter on Cabin 3 - silver. Two cabins got beach bags and 2 mugs, one cabin got a beach bag. After checkin we went to Guest Services - you have to have the person who's name is on the reservation for that cabin there and we switched the charging privledges and credit card numbers and room cards for each cabin. They even gave us a few extra cards that would open all three doors. She even drew little Mickey heads on the correct cards and told us to keep the olds ones. Very easy to do !That's what I thought, but there is one twist to it and I'm not sure how this works. My husband and I are both silver, but our friends are not.
