We went on our first cruise this past October (already booked for 8/04), but we have no documentation saying that we are a Castaway Club member. I was under the impression that once you went on one cruise you were automatically a member. Is there someone I should contact at disney? Do you get a card? Please let me know! Thanxprincess:

You can call the Castaway Club at (800) 951-3532 they can give you your club number. One hint - get a number for each member of your party - it helps with future bookings.

Are you supposed to get regular mailings or cruiseline magazines? I've only received a card for myself, not my husband.
Trekker, what do you mean having seperate numbers helps with future bookings? Do you mean that they will have all the information on file or is there some extra perk out there?
They don't give out numbers for the children do they? Thanks!

We took our first DCL cruise this past August. My DW received a CC card in the mail sometime in October, but she was the only one that received a card. We were told that since DW was the one who made the ressie, she got the card. I didn't know we could request a card for everyone in our group.

Dh is the only one who got a card after our first cruise, it never made a difference we just gave his number for our family. My guess is that the people on the same reservation (original) all get the same CC number

That's what I always thought too. I'm the only one that received a card. Has anyone received anything else (besides their cards)from the CC? discount offers, etc?

This is not the case, everyone who travels and who is listed on the ressie becomes a CC member. HOWEVER, if you call to get yours they will not automatically send everyones to them. They will have to call and get their own. You are supposed to fill out a comment card at the end of the cruise and that is supposed to sign you up. We did it and did not get the cards, I just think there are so many it is hard for them to keep up. My DH and I went on our honeymoon last year and I called when I got back for both of us and he and we both got a card with seperate numbers. Have each person call and obtain their number and tell the CM they did not receive their card, it should not be a problem. Being a CC member means you have traveled on DCL before. It does not apply to one reservation, but to each individual.

The perks are limited to these things: possible discounts on future ressies, gift in your stateroom, cocktail party with the captain, and a shorter line to wait in when checking in DCL port. Please correct me if I forgot something!

Hope this helps!

I suppose if you were going to have CC members stay in seperate cabins that may be worth the call. But you only get one cc gift per cabin not per member and one invitation for the entire cabin. I suppose if you wanted to book two cabins you could use a cc number for each one...
