Castaway Club - when?

I got my card and stuff 4 weeks after I sailed.....but I know others who haven't gotten anything and they sailed 2 years ago!!

We cruised in May of 2004 and I'm still waiting for our Castaway Club info! What do I do when I book our next cruise to let them know we are in the Club?

It took us about a month (we sailed in May). But as you'll see from some of the other threads on these boards, and from some other postings you'll surely get in response to your message, it can be hit and miss. Some people get their packet quickly, others never get theirs. But ultimately, it seems that DCL always knows who is in the Castaway Club, and you'll be able to get your membership number in the future, even if you never get the packet of information.

I had to call to get them to send me one. And they only sent one to me, not my parents, and I cruised with them.

Yes, many of us NEVER have gotten any information on this, myself included..Do call DCL to get your number...Once you sail once, you are automatically a member, but the number is nice to have... :goodvibes

We had 2 staterooms and 6 people in our party (all first time DCL cruisers) on the May repo cruise. One cabin was in DH's name, one was in mine.

My 9 yr. old DS is the only one who has received any CC mailings. He got his CC card in the mail about 4 weeks after we got back.
He thinks it's pretty cool that he gets all the fun stuff from DCL!

I'm guessing all the info is in the computers so they will know you are repeat cruisers even without submitting a CC #.

The system is not infallible though, we got the invite to the CC party and our cabin steward/server were both surprised when we said it was our first DCL cruise since we showed up as repeat cruisers on their lists.
Maybe they made us honorary CC members because we're such Disney nuts and had spent so much time researching our cruise on the Dis. :rotfl:

My DW got her stuff and I never got mine. We ended up having two separate rooms on our first trip so her sisters could come.

We called them this time and they gave us our numbers. They have in the system with your name and birthdate that you are a member.

Didn't get mine 'till after our 3rd sailing.....then again after the 4th

Sailed in March, it took 6 weeks to the date. :cool1: I love my CD.

Just wanted to pass along that we got our CC cards yesterday (10/18), so it was less than a month after our cruise. Individual cards for each member of the family came in the same envelope. They also included a CD with "cruise music and pictures" though we haven't checked it out yet.

We sailed on the Sep. 24 Western, this being our 3rd cruise and we just recieved our survival kit today. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

We cruised May 2004, too, and never received anything. I did call once to get my Castaway Club humber and I was in the system. Just didn't get anything in the mail from them. :confused3
