FINALLY - my DH received his Castaway Club membership number in the mail!! Our first DCL cruise was for our honeymoon in SEPTEMBER, 1998!!

However, I am still waiting patiently for mine to come in!! I know my number, but would like to get the "official" card!!

Has anyone else had this happen?

:( I've been waiting (and calling) for mine since December 1999. I guess there is still some glimmer of hope. I filled out my survey last June.

My husband and I just received our packet last week...there was nothing in it other than a cover letter and the card attached and about 5 postcards for requesting the Disney Cruise video...I was a bit disappointed from what I thought I would be getting...we cruised Sept. 2001 and I have been calling every since for my card.

I have never received a card of my own. When I called last week to check on my reservation for the fall I checked to make sure that they had our CC number. It was one off. Since my husband will not be going, they used my number, however it didn't sound like i would be getting my own card...

We sailed in December of 2001 and haven't received our cards either. I called the other day and the woman said she could give me my number, but the card would take 6 to 10 weeks to get to me!

What exactly does having a C.C. membership get you? Do I need the actual card, or is just the number enough?

I got my CC membership and card in the mail today!! We sailed 9 months ago.

Guess what? They spelled my name wrong!! LOL

Oh well, it'll still work. If it gets me my $200 on board credit they can spell my name any way they want.

DH and I sailed in October 2000 and still do not have our cards - sailed again in December 2001 and that has not kicked anything out of the system either. We are goin again this December and I just add our number to the reservation and, so far, that has worked.

It is strange...I sailed on 5/11 and got my card in the mail around mid June. It is funny how it takes them weeks with some people and months with others. I filled out the survey form they sent me, so hopefully I will get more interesting stuff. Still waiting for the FL resident rates to book the next one.

Thanks,

They are definitely giving out the pins on the ship now...for our last two cruises, the pins were waiting for us in the stateroom along with our CC gift (currently a beach towel).
I feel sorry for those of you who are waiting for your cards, but we're just the opposite...I have TWO cards, each with a different number (plus hubby has his own card, with a number one digit different than my first number). I guess we are just lucky!

Wow! I guess I should consider myself really lucky! I cruised on the 3 day Magic in December 1998 and I had my card, pins, and a nice framable autographed picture of Mickey in the mail within about 4 weeks. About 6 weeks after the cruise I received another thank you note from DCL along with a picture frame. It's sounding like I shouldn't expect anything after this next cruise! Too bad Disney doesn't keep up with their Castaway Club members the way they should....

NYCDVClover2000: To become a member of the Castaway Club, you have to sail on DCL at least once. After that first sailing, you are a member.
