it is somewhat adjustable. And unless you are particularly muscular or busty, you could get one arm through. But, it’s not super long, so I don’t know how comfortable it would be.
Just measured mine. Maxed out, the lanyard is 24". I could put it on as a crossbody. Not as loose as a regular crossbody bag. The lobster claw clasp dangles just below the bra strap under the arm. (5'7", 146 lbs)
For kids, probably...adults, not so much. You are not required to wear it, so if you want to just put the KTTW card in your pocket, that is OK. Maybe a bracelet could be fashioned to connect the card holder for you.
I also just tried it (I use an old lanyard for my keys at work!) and I could get it on that way, but it was not comfortable. I'd agree with the above that for kids it would probably be okay, but adults not so much.

I usually keep/collect my CC lanyards to make wristlet key chains out of them so I'm sure there is a way to combine a few so you can wear one across your body.
