Castaway Club Info Just came

We sailed on our first cruise this Jan 22. My castaway club info just came in the mail today. In it was a music cd of island music. How cool is that? Isn't Disney the best?!!!

we sailed last May and I never got anything for the Castaway Club.

You should contact them NYDisneyMom. They should have sent stuff out. My step-dads info came only 3 weeks after we sailed.

We have sailed 2 times in the past 13 months and have never received anything. I have seen in other posts that some people get their stuff soon and others never get it. I know I can call, but just have not done it.

Seems to me that they're very inconsistant (sp?) about that sort of thing. Like if they're in the mood to send it out, they do. If not, oh well. I cruised back in Sept '03, and never received anything afterwards. Then when I found out about the whole Castaway Club thing, I called DCL to get my CC numbers, and they said, "We'll mail that right out to you." Nothing. I called back a couple months later, same story. Seems like pulling teeth just to get the Castaway Club info sent, let alone a CD with the tropical music! So who knows.

But for those of you who have gotten the CD's, that's cool!

We have sailed twice and never received anything either. When I called, also Sept. 03, they told me they weren't sending cards out anymore, let alone anything else. Not a week after that conversation people had posted receiving cards..lol. Really hit and miss with DCL.

Same here,
We sailed last May also and nothing. I had to call to get my CC # for when I booked our next cruise. I was told they were working on May's sailings. That was back in August and to this day I still haven't received anything.
So if we check in at the port at the CC members line, what proof do we have or use?

Someone DH works with - who got bumped in Sept due to a hurricane and eventually sailed on her first cruise in November - got two in the mail so she gave us one.

We've sailed twice and never got anything either, though.

I had to call and they sent out my castaway cay club card but not for anyone else that sailed in my room. I also did not book directly through disney. I wonder if this makes a difference

We sailed in September '04 and didn't get anything. I called in December and they said they'd get on it....but nothing.

I called about 3 weeks ago and said my son was practically sitting on top of the mailbox waiting and they promised to put in a special request....

nothing!

So who knows??

We sailed in September of 04 and received our CC cards and music CD about three weeks after we returned.

We sailed 2x and never got anything. Once I called about another CC matter and they told me I was not a castaway club member until I REPEATED once on DCL! Imagine that? I had to do the 2nd sailing before I was a CC? So I've heard it both ways - but never got anything - I'm not bitter as I am a happy DCL cruiser otherwise we would NOT return - but reading this reminsds me of this rare little tiny "gripe".

Good morning everyone. We sailed in Sep 04 and received 2 cards out of the 5 requested. I requested the other cards in Dec 04 and last week received 2 more. Never received the CD. This week I am going to call again for the last card. Going again in Oct 06, maybe we'll have all the cards by then. The children were excited to get them.

Just keep calling and do not give up!

We cruised August' 04 and didn't receive anything. So I called and was given my CC# over the phone but I never got the card in the mail. I sent an email a few weeks ago and still haven't received anything. I guess I'll try calling again.

WE have sailed 13 times with DCL since their inception (we were on the first passenger sailing ever of the Magic back in '98) and we only received one card for our party of 5 back then and never received another thing from the CC club in the mail since then!!!! Our last cruise with DCL was this past Jan. No CD (which I would really like).

Don't hold your breath about getting CC cards....DCL is notoriously bad in sending these out...no rhyme or reason as to who gets them and when they get them...could be weeks after sailing or months!!!

We sailed in May '04 and never rec'd anything either. It didn't even dawn on me until my DH said something about taking another cruise in 2006 for our 10th Anniversary. When I called DCL they said that it was not mailed because our TA did not provide them with my address. URG! I have had more issue with my TA and this cruise that I've had with any vacations. Needless to say I would not recommend them to anyone. Anyhow, 8 months later my stuff should be in the mail. Just give DCL a call, they were more than happy to help me.
