Castaway club ID membership help

Hi,

We are travelling in Aug and doing the 3 night cruise. This will be our 3rd Cruise. On previous trips we have had the free towels and pins , so they know about us. But we have never recieved a CC membership card? I could not tell you what our membership number is.

I live in UK.

I have just been on the DCL website to register and they are asking for the cc membership number. They give a telephone number to call if you don't know it but is 0800 and I presume American. Does anyone know how I can phone this? If I put 01 infront will that work?

I understand that you can now book spa treatments online so I really want to get this sorted.

Yes put 01 in fornt of it.

Like you we live in the UK and I have been going backwards and forwards with DCL, and under no circumstances will they send us a Castaway Club Membership Card or Pack, they will not even have it in our room for us, they say that they cannot provide them to overseas guests.

I personally think that this out of order, why isn't my money good enough to get same entitlements as others?

We never got our cards and we live in the states. I called to get our numbers so I could book our activities. Hopefully we'll get our cards.

We cruised in July 01. I do not recall receiving a membership card or packet of any kind for CC, ever.

I totally forgot about it until I started spending more time in the cruise boards a few months ago. What I wanted to get verified was if we had 2 cabins would we get 2 gifts. I tried to call the toll free number on the website but I always was left on hold and no one ever picked up the phone. Then I called DCL's 800 # and asked the agent if she could help. She found my name in their database; however the address on the record was my mom's travel agent from four years ago! She updated the record and attached the CC# to both of our cabins. I still don't know what the number is.

I e-mailed DCL asking for our CC numbers. They very promptly got back to me with our numbers. I think they replied in less than 24 hours.

I called DCL and have got my club number. I can now book reservations online for our Aug cruise Yipee !!

Again they would not send us our membership cards because we did not live in USA.


( We are DVC members so we technically own a brick of boardwalk)

I am quiet upset about not getting a card and pack, I don't think its fair. what about you ? Am I being silly?

Oh well not long until we are actually on the boat.

Just spoke with them again about my CC cards. We cruised in Jan. and did not receive them. They are backed up 6-8 weeks at least but not to owrry, they say if you have cruised, they will know about you. You can try calling, writing or sending an e-mail. From all I have read on these boards, it is somewhat hit or miss....Another hint is to have your reservation number (now where did I put that) from the last cruise.

I have cruised five times on Disney and never received a card. We called and got our number, and have always gotten a return cruisers gift. My parents got their card sent to my home after their first DCl cruise.

BTW, theirs was only a card with a "welcome" letter attached--there was no "pack" or gift in the envelope.

I cruised over a year ago and I don't recall ever getting CC cards or a pack in the mail. I did email DCL to get my membership numbers when I booked my next cruise tho.

We cruised on the Magic, May 7-14 and today, I received a small packet in the mail with our Castaway Club membership cards and a music of Castaway Cay CD. This was our first cruise, if that means anything. Maybe they only send it out to first-timers, to reel us in or as my DS17 would say, "Entice us with trinkets!".

We cruised the Wonder May 5th and we got our packet with our cards and CD yesterday. Hopefully everyone will get theirs soon.

Shame we dont qualify for that pack.....would be nice to receive the same benefits!
