Castaway Club CD

Has anyone succesfully called the Castaway Club (that already belonged) and got them to send you the shoreside survival music CD they send to new members?

I have tried once and got nothing. I was thinking of trying again and I'm looking for tips.

I never got any CD when they send me my CC card and package...when did that start??

Not really sure when it started. I have read posts here where new club members get a "Shoreside Survival Kit" in the mail with their membership cards. It has the ships horn and other cruise like music on it.

When I called DCL about it they knew what I was talking about and the Castmember said they would send us one. That was in January..I'm just about to give up on it..this time.

I've called three different times. The first person said they would send me one. A few weeks later, I called again. That person said I could not have one. (she wasn't too friendly) The third person said she would send me one. The other day in the mail I received castaway club cards (which I already had) with a letter stating that here are the cards I requested. I'm giving up!

How long is long???? I am still waiting...

I gave up...I also called requesting the CD...6 weeks ago...Think I wil try again, that sounds like something we all would enjoy...

We sailed for the first time in mid March and received our CC cards and the Cd in the mail about 2 weeks ago!!! We even got two CD's because my son has a different last name.

It's almost a year since my 1st cruise and I'm leaving in 5 days for cruise #2 and still have NOT recieved anything from the Castaway Club

We never got our castaway club cards either. We have cruised 6 times and have a 7th booked. I do'nt care about the cards but the CD sounds cool. If I find a way to get it I will make sure I post it for everyone.

We suggest not only calling the Castaway Club, but also writing them with signed receipt that they received your letter.

Especially if you have cruised 6 times, you should not only have your Castaway Club cards but you deserve a CD

Not that it helps any, but we have been also on their cruises and to date we still have never received a CD and only one of us in our family ever received a Castaway Card and that was a few years ago.......

We sailed in September - 6 of us. None of us received anything.

I called probably 3 or 4 times since then requesting the cd, etc.

In February, my son received a letter with the CC membershp card. No one else in my family did. But still no cd.

I called again a week ago -- again, they promised to send the cd, etc.

We'll see, but I'm sure not holding my breath.

I just called the Castaway Club (again)...I spoke witht he nicest women, and she was surprised to find out that I have never received anything!!!!!!!!!!! So, went through the same as last time...6 week wait...Hope to receive it...My daughter would love it too.

Oh by the way, She did say that it is common...A lot of people calling back...

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones as well, we sailed in March and the CC cards and CD came in 6 weeks. I love it. It puts me to sleep every night.

We have sailed DCL 13 times with 14 booked for August (the repo cruise)....we have only had one thing sent to us from the CC club and that was one card (for our family of 5) and that was back in 1998.

I recently called CC hotline to find out why some get the CD, some that recipe mailer and some get nothing.

I was informed that it was an outside marketing company that sends those things out for DCL (under the DCL name) and they have no control who get what. They get sent to certain people based on demographics...but what that demographic is...she did not know.

I am sure others have gotten different stories when called.

Does anyone have the phonenumber they called? We will be cruising in a few weeks am i lost my Castaway Club card. I know you don't need it when you checkin, but i like to just have it. This way everytime i look in my wallet it takes my back to all my cruises.
