I am an early riser so I am not afraid about hopping in the queue when it opens but my question is… if they call our group while we are in the middle of breakfast will we be able to get off when finished? I am concerned about having to rush down right away. I also have the Castaway Cay Getaway Package booked… is this considered a port excursion allowing us to skip the queue?

The queues are extremely fast in my experience. Eat your breakfast at whatever pace you're comfortable with and check in for the queue when you're done eating. My December sailing was a double-dip so we checked in twice, both times around 8:30. The first time, we got the alert that it was time after about 10 seconds. The second time, it was maybe 5 minutes.

You and I (early risers) are rarities on cruise ships since most activities and entertainment are at night.

We just did this yesterday. The queue was supposed to open at 9:00. It didn’t until 9:12. Within a few seconds, I was 258th in line and told 10:10. We didn’t actually get off until 10:30 and did receive any alerts. It was all fine. Quick line.

OP, for our 3 sailings since restart, once you're cleared to go ashore, you can go at your leisure. We've clicked over to cleared more than once during our meal. I rushed DW to finish her meal (big mistake) and when we scurried to the tender lobby, the security CMs told us it was no rush.

when it says the queue opens at 7:00, it means sometime after 7:00. Depends what time you arrive at CC. I’m an early riser. I get up at 4:00am no matter where we are, sadly. We go to deck 4 around 5:00am and walk a few miles. Go to the pool area and get coffee, then often sit in cabanas waiting for them to open. It is what it is. Since the CC queue started, I’ve gotten good at it. I’ve been #1 and my trip in February I was #3. Getting off at 8:30 is good for me since I’ve been up for more than 4 hours by then. I really wish it would go away though, it’s really a pain.
