Castaway Cay snorkeling ??

I have my own snorkeling equipment. Can I use it at Castaway Cay? Will DCL require that I wear a life jacket? Is there one particular spot that snorkeling is allowed or can I snorkel anywhere? I know, I have lots of questions. Thanks ahead of time for any answers you can give me.

Yes, you will have to wear a snorkeling vest, but Disney provides those free of charge if you have your own gear. You can snorkel anywhere, but the only place you're likely to see anything other than the official area is at the adult beach. I have seen a quid there, stingrays, and once even a nurse shark, and hubby has seen "Barry" the barracuda. There is a predator net at the family beach, but I don't think the adult beach has one.
