I've got my first cruise with a Castaway Cay double dip - super excited as Castaway Cay is on my Disney bucket list!
Just wondering how easy it is/much time it takes to go from the (Adult) beach back to the ship to drop something off, change, etc.
Is it quick pop-by (15 min or less) or more involved? I can't remember if it's a tender or not, but I have seen y'all talk about a tram. Thanks!

10 mins by tram 20 by walking. Enjoy!
Hmmm....I've never found it to be that quick. We've typically wound up waiting at Serenity Bay for almost 10 minutes just for the tram back to the family beach area. Then had to wait for the tram there. And the walk back to the ship from the tram stop closest was close to 5 minutes (before the security check was installed).

Totally right I forgot to factor in the security checks. Although 20 min walk is pretty fair right?

Probably a good hour roundtrip from the family beach unless you catch the shuttle just right. But even the shuttle is a slow experience. Doesn't seem far, but it does take some time. Especially going through the security before the ship, security on the ship, elevator, etc.

I've done from the ship to the end of the family beach pushing a grandmom in a wheelchair in 20 minutes. That's just the two of us, no kids. I'd say double if you have little ones, and therefore would suggest waiting for the tram.

From the adult beach to the ship, I would allow at least half an hour, and that's using the tram. It isn't quick- much easier to keep your stuff with you, and change clothes in a bathroom stall, than to go back and forth.

At an "easy walk" normal walking pace it would probably be 20-30 minutes, plus whatever stops had to be made (eg security):

From the dock to the 5K start line which is near the bicycle stand on the family beach, is one km alone.

According to Google maps, walking from the ship to Serenity beach is 1.98 k so call it 2 km.

30 minutes-minimum. My daughter forgot her headphones on the ship and wanted them for Serenity Bay. She left us, we were mid-way down that beach and walked at a good clip (she is 21). She was gone at least 30 minutes, if not 40.

Now, there are many temptations along the way that have not been accounted for. First, get in line for the post office (3 of 4 times closed for us, rats!), then there is the T-shirt you gotta have, and, ah, where did he get that ice cream?, I smell hot dogs, hey, a crab race and someone mentioned sting rays over there, where did that blue drink come from?, that bike would make this trip a lot faster and I just have to take a picture of the ship from here, it is so cool. Other than that, you should make it from serenity bay to the ship and back in 3-4 hours...easy, peasy!!
