Oh no not again! We made it there last Friday and had a ball! The vegetation was very brown due to the salt water. They said that in a few weeks it would be green again but who knows when it will green up again now.

The island is definitely within the area of hurricane force winds, but is on the edge of it. Last time the eye of the hurricane went right over. CC is the little dot just to the left of the triangular shaped island just south of the center of the hurricane.
I'm more worried about the Bahama islanders too, it's hitting them VERY hard and will probably pass right over Freeport.

Everyone say a prayer for those on the East Coast who already had to deal with Francis and are now being hit again by Jeanne.
Thoughts and prayers going out ! Just spoke with my uncle in Sebastian today. He sounded so upset and stressed. He told me he'll be on the north-end of the "eye"which is not supposed to be good. Also spoke with my aunt further north in Flagler Beach and as I was on the phone with her I could hear the police and fire personnel going up and down her street with a bullhorn. I heard them saying things like "mandatory evacuation", "curfew after 6 pm today", "no using the bridge after 3 pm" and "no 911 emergency calls will be responded to after 9 pm" ! I'm so nervous for both my relatives on the east coast. They're literally blocks from the ocean.Everyone say a prayer for those on the East Coast who already had to deal with Francis and are now being hit again by Jeanne.
