I remember seeing a threat on this a couple weeks ago but didn't read it! We leave for our 3-night cruise tomorrow. I checked the weather and see that Saturday is promising thunderstorms. What happens if our Castaway Cay day gets rained out?? I didn't even think to plan for that!

Thanks

unless it is thunderstorming all goes on as usual. In the caribbean storms move along very fast so don't worry about it. After a few konk coolers you will be havng a blast regardless. I remember being upset when in St. John the guide called it "liquid sunshine" and said we were going to get wet anyhow snorkling-but he was right, the water is so warm and the storm moved so quickly it was no big deal. Have a great time!!

AAAHH Ann your memories of Liquid sunshine bring back happy times! Thanks!!!!!!

When we went on our first cruise last year it rained in WDW before we left torrential downpour, it was SO COLD we boarded the ship wearing jeans and sweatshirts totally unprepared for the cold weather they experienced then. It was cool until we hit Nassau where it was warm but not hot. In Freeport it was hot and it felt really good! CC it was pouring rain when we pulled in, it stayed pouring rain and they actually gave out free Mickey Rain poncho's to all of us venturing out of the ship. It started and stopped all day long but we didnt care! The island is beautiful and as long as lightning didnt happen it was fun! Sure it would have been nice to have it warm and sunny but it was still a good time and the kids loved playing in the water and the sand even when it rained!

I dont think it will be a huge deal! Like Ann said...you're going to most likely get wet anyway if you venture anywhere near snorkeling or the water so it shouldnt matter if it is raining either!

Have a great time and dont sweat the small stuff!

I know how you feel..I freaked out when we were eating breakfast and realized it was pouring! I was so distraught! I couldnt imagine getting off the ship in the rain but we really did have a good time even with the rain showers coming and going and being kind of cool.

I wanted my kids to experience CC in the warmth and sun but they could have cared less if they got wet..they swam and played in the sand.

Have a GREAT time!

What is even worse than showers at CC is a beautiful sunny day and the captain can not dock the ship at CC due to the wind and waves. This happened to us two years ago at Christmas and really bummed our kids out but they had fun watching them try for several hours to make it happen. They offered freebies all afternoon for adults (drinks) and kids (more ice cream and drinks).

Just make the best of it if adverse conditions happen and remember that is is better than being at work like the rest of us!!!

Yes. It was an organized crime threat, probably Gambino hyphen Soprano but definitely Brooklyn - the old neighborhood. "Rainah onah my Castaway Cay day and I breakah you face"...

ROFLMAO Buckaroo! That was a good one!! You always are so good with one liner quips!!!

Thanks for the giggle!
