As part of a Google search, I encountered a fascinating online travel magazine article entitled "Blackbeard Doesn't Come Here Anymore" which purports to document the arguably-checkered past of Castaway Cay (previously Gorda Cay). Whether or not it is true, it certainly makes fascinating reading. See
