Castaway Cay & Disney Vacation Club Receptions

Does anyone know which dayof the week the reception is held for Castaway Cay Club and Disney Vacation Club Members on the 7 day Western Itinerary? I didn't notice these events listed on the posted Navigators.

CC club reception is by invite only. It's always been for us the day we're in Castaway Cay. The DVC members is only on the 7 day so we'll experience that for the first time in Dec.

On our May cruise on the Western the DVC Members Reception was Sunday morning at 10 am. Note that you will only get an invite to this if you are sailing on points, but if you are member sailing with cash you are still welcome. It is listed in the Navigator or stop by the DVC desk and ask when the reception is.

The Castaway Club reception was held Monday night (late afternoon really before first seating dinner). This is by invitation only and if you don't get an invitation and you are a returning cruiser I suggest talking to someone at guest services.

The Castaway Club reception is the lavish one with ice sculpture, a nice spread of appitizers and free drinks. The DVC reception since it was in the morning was more like a continental breakfast as they had juices, coffee, tea, sweet rolls, etc.

They were both nice and a great way to get to know other cruisers.

We got an invite to the DVC party and we were not sailing on points. The CC member party was held twice on our sailing because there were so many members....
