Castaway Cay Construction

When we were there Thursday it looked like they had a construction project of some kind going on right pretty close to the dock. There was an area leveled out with equipment and construction trailers. We asked a few crew members and they said they haven't been told. They said they had heard anything from a new storage building to a hotel. Anyone know anything about it?

Saw it too and wondered. They're not doing the usual Disney job of hiding behind-the-scenes construction with it.

I also saw new restrooms being constructed over by the higher numbered cabanas last week.

When the agreement was drawn up between DCL and the Bahamian government here are strict limits on what DCL could build on the island. I know they had to keep somewhere about 50% as wild nature land and I am pretty sure no hotels, but I am not positive on that

Can you imagine how crowded it would be with a dream class ship and resort guests? Nope. Bad idea.
